Testosterone Cycle

A simple testosterone cycle is by far the most common cycle of any performance enhancer and for good reason; testosterone is the most versatile anabolic steroid of all and generally well-tolerated by most healthy adult men. Testosterone is a hormone of great anabolic and androgenic power and is further a hormone our body is very accustomed to and as such presents no surprises. For many performance enhancers testosterone will be the only hormone used during a cycle, especially for a beginner but even many veterans find a simple testosterone cycle to be all they need. Don’t misunderstand, we’re not implying stacking various steroids isn’t necessary, it can be very goal dependent and individually based but a simple testosterone cycle will do more on its own than most combined stacks. The testosterone hormone can provide nearly every trait and benefit any performance enhancer could ever want, it is perfect for bulking and cutting and is for all intense purposes the single best steroid available when all factors are considered.

Your First Testosterone Cycle:

If you’ve never supplemented with anabolic androgenic steroids you are generally advised to begin with a simple testosterone cycle. As testosterone is both versatile and generally well-tolerated it only makes sense to start here. Further, most will find stacking other steroids at this point to be ill-advised. If you do run into side-effect problems you want to be able to pinpoint exactly what’s causing the problem and if you have more than one item stacked this will be impossible to do. For many potential performance enhancers the idea of testosterone alone sounds weak but you need to understand this hormone packs one massive punch.

For your first testosterone cycle you will generally be advised to begin with a simple single ester testosterone such as Testosterone-Cypionate or Testosterone-Enanthate; either one is fine as one is not better than the other. Single ester testosterone forms such as the mentioned two are not weak, they are not “beginner” testosterones, there’s no such thing but single esters are the easiest to control and by far the most efficient. Many advanced users will find single ester testosterone to be all they ever need for any testosterone cycle and by many we mean most. For the first testosterone cycle a dosing of 400mg-500mg per week for 12 weeks is a fine place to start flowed by 3-4 weeks of Post Cycle Therapy (PCT). Such a cycle will produce the gains you desire guaranteed bulking, cutting or otherwise; the end goal will be determined by the food you eat. The food you eat is a very important factor that often goes overlooked and it’s time we addressed it here.

The Food Factor:

For many performance enhancers the idea is to simply get big; the bigger and stronger the better and a testosterone cycle can very easily lend to this end. You’ll notice we said “lend” not give and there is a reason for that. In some ways people like to look at testosterone as magic but when we truly look at the hormone it’s not magic at all. If you want to be big you have to eat big; all the testosterone in the world won’t make you big on its own. You can plan the greatest testosterone cycle of all time but if you do not feed your body enough calories you’re not going to grow; see, it’s not magic, you still have to eat and train. For many performance enhancers the idea of getting big is not the idea at all; many simply want to perform better and the largest segment of the performance population simply wants to look better and this often means dropping weight. A testosterone cycle is perfect for this goal as it will preserve muscle tissue and lend to a more pleasing look while on a calorie restricted diet. It is a myth and maybe better put an outright lie that the use of anabolic steroids makes things easy; far from it. You still have to do the same work, follow the same rules of nutrition; the idea behind a testosterone cycle or any anabolic steroid cycle is to simply take what you’re already doing right but to simply do it a little better.

Advancing:

Once the first testosterone cycle is complete in most cases you’re going to want another one. There is no set rule about what the next one must be; many performance enhancers will find they never need to go above and beyond the testosterone cycle discussed above. If you do have a desire slow increments up over time can be fine; generally 100mg-200mg increases from one cycle to the next is a good plan to follow. However, you need to understand testosterone presents a very real risk to reward ratio. The greater the dose the greater the reward but as the dose goes up so does the probability of adverse side-effects. Absolutely there are things we can do to prevent and protect from side-effects but none of them are guaranteed and dosing will always play a major factor as will individual response. In the end responsible use will always be your best friend.
