Deca Cycle
Nandrolone-Decanoate, most commonly known as Deca-Durabolin and commonly referred to simply as Deca is one of the most popular anabolic steroids of all time. Of all the possible anabolic steroid cycles a Deca cycle is one of the most common place and has been for decades and will continue to be for decades to come. While a Deca cycle can be very beneficial during a dieting phase due to the preservation qualities it carries as well as the joint relief it provides this 19-nor anabolic steroid is best known for its potential regarding off-season gains. Further, as one of the more well-tolerated steroids that actually has some kick behind it this only makes Deca-Durabolin more popular and as a Deca cycle can be stacked with just about anything it’s not hard to see why it’s so popular.
Off-Season Deca Cycle:
As Nandrolone is well-suited for growth it is the off-season Deca cycle that will be of the largest concern to most. While this is a powerful steroid for bulking purposes it is also very slow and benefits will not be noticed quickly; in-fact, it can take upwards of a month of use before you really begin to notice the benefits. As you may have guessed as a slow acting steroid and one that builds slowly over time a quality Deca cycle will generally need to be fairly extended in duration. In most cases we can say anything less than 8 weeks is a waste of time with 12 weeks being far more optimal.
For the average healthy adult male a quality Deca cycle will begin at 200mg per week as a minimal dose with 400mg per week being far more efficient in-terms of substantial growth. Most men will find 400mg to be very effective and as this steroid does not aromatize heavily they will also find the majority of weight gained to be that of pure lean tissue. Of course some will want more and doses that reach 600mg per week and upwards are not as uncommon as you might think; especially in elite levels of bodybuilding; there is however an important factor you must consider. A Deca cycle can be tolerated by most healthy adult men quite well but as the dose increases so do the risks associated. You may indeed find the gains to be greater with doses of 600mg or more but side-effects on some level will more than likely occur.
Imperative Stacking:
It is perhaps the most common off-season bulking stack of all time, Deca-Durabolin, Testosterone and Dianabol. For decades this stack has been responsible for the behemoths you see at your local gym and the good news is it’s one of the easiest stacks to complete and generally fairly cheap. Make no mistake, we’re not saying you need to stack all three of these items but if you’re going to complete a Deca cycle we can say you need to include testosterone; you do not have to include Deca-Durabolin due to testosterone use but testosterone should be present with Deca.
Some will scoff as they have completed Deca cycles with no testosterone before and been fine but the long and short is it’s simply not healthy. Nandrolone-Decanoate like most anabolic steroids suppresses natural testosterone production but this particular steroid does it in the harshest and fastest manner possible. One 100mg shot of Nandrolone is enough to suppress 100% of your natural testosterone production; yes, you read that correctly, one 100mg shot. As testosterone is an imperative hormone to our well-being this simply won’t due and measure must be taken. If for whatever reason you’re not a fan of testosterone supplementation for performance (although that makes little sense) you still need to supplement with enough to provide your body enough testosterone to function properly. Even so, we should look at all of this as good news as a testosterone and Deca cycle will work very well and create a greater synergetic effect of anabolic activity.
Relief & Preservation:
Without question it will be the off-season in-which most run a Deca cycle but as mentioned early on this steroid can have a place in almost any cycle. Many athletes supplement with Deca-Durabolin in low doses simply for the joint relief associated, with growth being the furthest thing from their mind. Further, many athletes also supplement with Nandrolone while dieting as by a means to preserve the lean tissue they already possess while under a strict calorie deficit.
Most athletes will find 100mg per week to be enough to provide joint relief but it will do very little in-terms of total anabolic activity. Many athletes who are simply looking for joint relief and a slight bump may find 200mg to be just about perfect. 200mg per week can preserve a lot of lean tissue that may be lost due to hard dieting or regular strenuous activity and it will further provide the joint relief desired. Of course you’re wondering how many athletes actually supplement and run a Deca cycle; let’s put it this way, the NFL would not exist as it does today if it were not for Deca-Durabolin; in-fact, more football players supplement with this steroid than just about anyone else.
