Clomid Side-Effects
If it isn’t naturally produced by your body and you introduce it into your system there is a chance adverse effects may occur. This is the nature of all things in life and it goes for medications of all types from hormones to cold medicine and includes to a large extent even the various foods we eat. Whatever you’re putting into your body it is important you have an understanding of what these effects might be but that is not enough. It is also important that you understand the level of probability associated with such effects as well as anything you might be able to do about them should they occur.
In the world of performance enhancing drugs (PED’s) this understanding of adverse effects is important for a host of reasons. To begin we need to understand them for the reasons discussed above but it is perhaps even more important here due to the manner in-which PED’s are often portrayed. PED’s are often discussed in a biased fashion with little regard for the truth and generally laden with emotional based opinions. With that in mind it is here we want to discuss Clomid side-effects and while you’ll find they are generally very mild and carry low levels of probability Clomid side-effects are real and warrant a discussion.
General Clomid Side-Effects:
Clomiphene Citrate is not an anabolic steroid but belongs to a class known as Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERM’s). Most commonly known as “Clomid” those who supplement with this SERM will find the various Clomid side-effects to be generally mild should they occur but the probability of an adverse reaction remains very low. Of the various Clomid side-effects of which there are not many the one of the more common is blurred vision. Blurred vision does not imply going blind, it is exactly as stated “blurred.” Should this side-effect occur and it will only do so in the minority it will dissipate once use is discontinued and your vision will return to normal. If you supplement with Clomiphene Citrate and find this to be an issue you may find supplementing with the SERM Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex) to be a better choice your next go around.
Beyond blurred vision the most common Clomid side-effect is acne, especially on the back and shoulders should it occur. This will generally occur during post cycle therapy (PCT) use, as this is the most common point of use and when the largest amounts of the SERM are being used. The reason for this possible occurrence is quite simple; Clomiphene Citrate stimulates the release of natural testosterone and through this high influx of testosterone now being produced acne may become a problem. However, once the body becomes accustomed the acne it will clear in most cases and if it does not it should dissipate once use is discontinued. Those who are naturally predisposed to acne to begin with will find this to be more of a concern but even then it is a tossup as to if it will actually occur.
Infrequent Clomid Side-Effects:
While the above Clomid side-effects are the most common there are others that may occur although extremely rare. The Clomid side-effects in question here are abdominal cramping and hot flashes and again the probability is very low. Of those who supplement with this SERM less than 1% of all users will experience either of these side-effects and that is a better side-effect rating than almost any over the counter medication you will ever find.
The Bottom Line:
Although Clomid side-effects may occur, as you can see they are very mild and very rare in most who supplement with this SERM. While it is impossible to predict if you will fall prey to a single one responsible use will always be your best friend. Those who supplement with high doses do increase the odds of incurring an adverse reaction but even in high doses for short periods the chances of serious side-effects remain very low.
